Blancpain bolsters its Bathyscaphe ceramic line with a trio of sophisticated new models. These timepieces echo the functionality of the previously released black and green Bathyscaphe watches (Automatic and Flyback Chronograph) but with a striking all-black aesthetic. There is also a blue dial version of the Complete Calendar. Blancpain equips these Bathyscaphe models with sleek ceramic bracelets for the first time, solidifying their bold and contemporary look.
The cutting-edge ceramic used in these watches is nearly five times harder than stainless steel and almost four times harder than grade-5 titanium, yet remarkably lightweight – a full 25% lighter than steel.
While the ceramic bracelet is a noteworthy addition, the show’s true star is the inclusion of a Complete Calendar complication within the ceramic case.
The complete calendar, which you still have to adjust month to month, is powered by a 6654.P4 movement to give hours, minutes, seconds, day of the week, month, and a central date indicator, plus moon phase.
