The Mido Ocean Star Decompression Timer 1961 Limited Edition In Black PVD

Mido introduced the first version of the Ocean Star Decompression in 2020. It was limited to 1961 pieces in homage to the 1961 model that it is based on, the Ocean Star Skin Diver.

Given the popularity of the original model, Mido released another limited edition in 2021, this time with a white dial.

This year, Mido is introducing its latest Ocean Star Decompression Timer, a black PVD version of the Decompression Timer, and returning to the black dial. Mido has also announced the Decompression Timer won’t see an update for a while.

As with the 2021 model, the watch features a rainbow decompression timer scale designed to calculate decompression stop times for divers. This time, the case has a black PVD coating.

The steel mesh bracelet is also blacked out, strikingly contrasting with the vibrant rainbow decompression scale. The watch includes a vibrant blue rubber strap and a black leather strap with colorful stitching that matches the dial. The straps feature quick-release spring bars for easy swapping.

The watch is powered by the Mido Caliber 80, based on the ETA C07.621 movement.
