The Patek Philippe Cubitus collection marks the brand’s first new line in 25 years. It aims to attract younger buyers while still appealing to established collectors. The collection, consisting of three models, incorporates elements of the iconic Nautilus but with a distinctive square case and innovative complications.
Reference 5821/1A is the entry-level model of the new family. It comes in a new square stainless case finished similarly to the Nautilus. It also comes on a bracelet reminiscent of the Nautilus, including the new micro-adjustable clasp introduced with the 5811/G. The case is 45mm in diameter and 8.3mm thick. The dial is olive green, adorned by a sunburst pattern and a textured horizontal ribbed design. The hour markers and hands are white gold batons with white lume. The Cubitus 5821/1A is powered by the new “hacking seconds” Caliber 26-330 S C, based on the 26-330 introduced in 2019 in the Nautilus collection and now exclusive to the 5811G. It has a power reserve of up to 45 hours.
The second model in the Cubitus collection is reference 5821/1AR. It is the same watch as above but with a two-tone steel, rose-gold case, bracelet, and deep blue dial.
Last, reference 5822P-001 introduces a new complication for Patek Philippe: an instantaneous outsized date display at twelve o’clock. The watch is powered by a new caliber—240 PS CI J LU, based on the legendary caliber 240. It is a simple calendar that requires five adjustments per year. The dial on the 5822P-001 is blue, and the case is platinum with a baguette cut inlaid diamond. The case diameter remains 45mm, and the thickness is 9.6mm. The watch comes with a blue composite strap, fabric pattern, and cream stitching.
