In 1955, IWC introduced the Ingenieur, the brand’s first anti-magnetic wristwatch designed for civilian use. Gérald Genta’s iconic 1970s redesign of the Ingenieur SL (Reference 1832) with an integrated bracelet cemented its legacy.
Introduced last year, the Ingenieur Automatic 40 stays true to Gérald Genta’s bold design language of the 1970s. IWC is introducing a new blue dial variant to the collection today. The watch has a stainless steel case and bezel and an H-link bracelet with a butterfly clasp. The dial features a stamped grid pattern consisting of small lines and squares with a PVD blue coating. The hands and markers are rhodium-plated and filled with Super-LumiNova.
The watch is powered by the self-winding automatic IWC-manufactured 32111 calibre with a power reserve of 120 hours.
